MARIAN LAW STUDE SHINES IN NATIONAL ESSAY WRITING CONTESTby Herson S. Valmores
JULIUS CEASAR D. DOMINGO, CPA, a second year Law student and a faculty member of the School of Accountancy placed second in the national essay writing contest jointly sponsored by the Philippine Association of Law Schools (PALS) and the Legal Education Board (LEB) in conjunction with the installation of the “Law Professors Hall of Fame” at the Cultural Center of the Philippines sometime in November this year.
With the theme: “They Who Set our Hearts on Fire! (The Law Professor Who Inspired the Writer Most and Taught Most Excellently and Meaningfully”), the competition was participated in by Law students all over the country. The contest was simultaneously held in different venues (Ateneo de Manila University and University of the East in Metro Manila, Saint Louis University in Luzon, Aquianas University and University of San Carlos in the Visayas, and Ateneo de Davao University and Xavier University in Mindanao) on 15 September 2012.
Aside from Domingo, the College of Law of Saint Mary’s University was ably represented by Edwin B. Dincog Jr., Gil Victor Paul P. Valdez, Jr., and Candice M. Guyguyon.
