By Jose B. Rosales Dean, College of Law The College of Law of Saint Mary's University has once again proven itself in the 2007 Bar Examinations which were held on four Sundays of September, 2007 (Sept. 2, 9, 16 & 23). Information culled from the Statistical Data issued by the Bar Confidant of the Supreme Court of the Philippines indubitably shows that the SMU College of Law is No. 1 in Region 02 (composed of the provinces of Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino) in terms of the percentage of passing. Moreover, a tabulation of the over-all standing of law schools in the entire country shows that Saint Mary's University occupies the 33rd position in the 2007 Bar Examination as to % of passing. Supreme Court records reveal that there were 106 law schools which sent candidates to the Bar Examinations and that out of this number, twenty-two (22) law schools obtained 0% passing.
