SMU renew membership with UFTE,
HTM Dep’t. Head attend 15th UFTE Annual Convention

The Union of Filipino Tourism Educators, Inc. (UFTE) conducted its 15th annual convention on November 21, 2015 at the Ballroom 1, City of Dreams Manila, Pasay City. This National Tourism Educator’s Convention theme is Tourism in the New Millennium: One World, One Nation, One Billion Opportunities. Several administrators and professors across Higher Educational Institutions (HEI) and State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), and people from the industry coming from tourism-oriented establishments attended this convention.
There were five dignified speakers for the convention with interesting topics being shared to the group.

Saint Mary’ University is represented by Mrs. Mayvelyn S. Covita. Apart from the university renewing its institutional membership, Mrs. Covita, Mr. Noel. A. Abiva and Mr. Sherween Jerry Paul V. Saquing renewed also their individual membership while Mr. John Michael C. Ibarra applied for membership as well.
Attendance to this kind of event contributed to a continuous upgrade of learning insights especially on the trends in the tourism industry with the consideration of establishing linkages to worthy partners in this dynamic business.
