Junior Tourism Student is Second Place in Destination Photography Competition
during the 5th Tourism Skills Olympics in Baguio City

During the 5th National League of Tourism Students’ Skills Olympics on February 5, 2016 held at CAP Convention Center, Camp John Hay, Baguio City, junior Tourism student Lyell Gerard A. Tankiamco ranked second place in Destination Photography category.


The competition category is enthemed, “Baguio City As a Premiere Tourist Destination.” This event aims at allowing participants to demonstrate photography skills that can be used as an alternative hobby/career in hospitality and tourism industry.


The guidelines used for assessment are:

                      20 %

(The photo meets the criteria of the category)

COMPOSITION                                                                                 20 %

(Focus is well presented in photo)

CREATIVITY                                                                                      20 %

(The subject matter pictured in a unique way and the photographer used light in interesting ways)

TECHNICAL QUALITY                                                                     20 %

(The photo in focus, lighting in balance/depth of field considered/used/shutter speed varied or adjusted to be appropriate for the photo)

OVER-ALL IMPRESSION                                                                20 %

(The photo should be able to grab the viewer’s attention and hold its ‘wow’ factor or special effects)
