The School of Computing Sciences and Information Technology through the Technical Education Skills Development Authority (TESDA) conducts a 32-day computer programming training for fifteen (15) Pangulong Gloria Macapagal Arroyo (PGMA) Scholarship Grantees from the different Local Government Units of the Province of Nueva Vizcaya. The 32-day training is an extensive training in computer programming which started on May 4 and ends on June 8, 2009. The trainees are from the different municipalities of Nueva Vizcaya namely; Alfonso Castañeda, Ambaguio, Bambang, Bayombong, Dupax Del Norte, Dupax Del Sur, Kasibu, Santa Fe, and Villaverde.

The NC IV Programming training aims to equip trainees with competencies required for developing or writing program codes using a personal computer as a part of systems development. At the end of the said training, they are required to undergo a competency assessment exam to qualify them for a National Qualification of Programming NC IV. Successful examinees will be awarded a Certificate of Competency for all competencies which they successfully pass qualifying them for a job as a programmer, programming support staff or a programmer-analyst.

Fe, Myrna M. Fernandez of Sta. Fe, Monette A. Fregillana of Dupax Del Sur, Jo-hannah R. Goloyugo of Bayombong, Reido D. Pimentel of Bambang, Francis Ryan E. Querol of Villaverde, Maria Irica Jynne E. Reginalde of Bayombong, Christopher Jo S. Rivera of Dupax Del Norte, Cornelio P. Rollan Jr. of Bayombong, Denzel Roi P. Rollan of Bayombong and Peter Paul M. Santiago of Kasibu.

The trainors for the 32-day training are Mrs. Arlene R. Querol, Mrs. Gertrude G. Danao, Mr. Meneleo John O. Mendoza IV, Ms. Dianne Rose A. Bangloy, Mrs. Essel T. Cañaberal, Mr. Jayson D. Velasco and Mr. Rogie B. Taborda, SMU IT faculty.
