A student who desires to enroll in a course on audit (i.e., on a “no grade, no credit” basis) should indicate “For Audit” on the computerized print-out.  The steps for enrolment for new students are to be followed.  The student on audit pays the corresponding fees just like any regular student.

As a general rule, the School may permit the enrolment of a non-credit course for anyone who wishes to take particular courses solely for personal and/or professional growth.

D. Cross- Enrollment

For meritorious cases, cross-enrollment for elective subjects may be allowed in another institution of recognized standing, subject to the following conditions:

  1. The student fills out an application form for cross enrollment in another school (available at the Registrar’s Office).  The application form is signed by the Dean and approved by the Vice-President for Academic Affairs.
  2. The student should have completed at least twelve (12) units in the master’s level or at least twenty-four (24) units in the doctoral level in Saint Mary’s University.
  3. Only those subjects, which are not offered during the current semester/term in SMU, may be cross-enrolled and must not exceed a total of six (6) units for the master’s degree or nine (9) units for the doctoral degree.
