JTHMAP SMU-Chapter Leaders Uphold University Excellence at National Leadership Bootcamp 2025

October 14–15, 2025 | UP Diliman, Quezon City — Two outstanding student leaders from the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management proudly represented Saint Mary’s University (SMU) at Bootcamp 2025, a premier national leadership and capacity-building event held at the University of the Philippines Diliman. Mr. Benjahmin Miran (HM) and Ms. Wilshelle Pascua (TM), both second-year
students and active JTHMAP SMU-Chapter Board Members, joined peers from various schools nationwide for two intensive days of leadership training and collaborative learning.
The program was specifically designed to strengthen leadership skills, foster teamwork, and create essential networks among future tourism and hospitality professionals. By providing opportunities for lifelong learning, skills development, and leadership empowerment, the event directly supported United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education. The SMU delegates actively participated in all workshops and discussions, clearly demonstrating their commitment to personal growth and their dedication to advancing the tourism and hospitality field.
On the final day, participants engaged in a reflective exit interview to consolidate their learning and personal growth. Assisting Mr. Miran and Ms. Pascua was Miss Nicole Ann A. Belmil, a BSTM 4 student and JTHMAP Regional Ambassador, who provided support to the SMU delegates.
Saint Mary’s University and the JTHMAP SMU-Chapter proudly commend Mr. Miran and Ms. Pascua for their active participation and their outstanding representation at Bootcamp 2025.
