Alumna Kathleen Mae Mabanglo, from Saint Mary’s University – School of Health and Natural Sciences, has been awarded the prestigious DAISY Award, a symbol of exemplary nursing care. Nurse Mabanglo, who graduated from the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program in 2011, was honored on March 1, 2023, at King Fahad Medical City Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The DAISY Award, presented by the DAISY Foundation, celebrates the dedication and compassion of nurses worldwide, acknowledging their exceptional service to patients and their families.
Acknowledging the remarkable achievement of nurse Mabanglo, the top management of SMU, under the leadership of President Dr. John Octavious S. Palina, officially recognized her during a courtesy visit on January 22, 2024. In a heartfelt gesture, she attributed her success to her Alma Mater, expressing gratitude for shaping her into a globally competitive Marian graduate and compassionate missionary.
