Saint Mary’s University’s Director of Institutional Development and Quality Assurance (IDQAO), Pearl Via Coballes, and Assistant Director, Dr. Harrison Villanueva, participated in the 34th National Quality Forum (NQF) organized by the Philippine Society for Quality (PSQ).
The NQF, held on September 12-13, 2024 at the Manila Hotel, brought together quality professionals from various industries to discuss current trends, share best practices, and network with peers. The event’s theme, “Collaboration Innovation: Shaping Quality for Generations Ahead,” highlighted the importance of teamwork and innovation in driving quality improvement.
SMU’s attendance at the NQF aligns with the university’s commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in education. By participating in such events, SMU seeks to stay abreast of the latest developments in quality management and identify opportunities for enhancing its own practices.
During the forum, Mrs. Coballes and Dr. Villanueva had the opportunity to network with industry partners, listen to panel discussions, and gain insights into emerging trends in quality management. These valuable experiences will contribute to SMU’s efforts to strengthen its quality assurance processes and provide an exceptional educational experience for its students.
