The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) organized its first-ever Quality Assurance Conference: Higher Education Conclave on May 13, 2024, at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila.

The conference brought together presidents and heads of higher education institutions (HEIs). The conference featured plenary sessions, panel discussions, and parallel sessions focused on quality assurance practices in Philippine higher education.

Saint Mary’s University (SMU) was among the participating HEIs, represented by Mrs. Pearl Via S. Coballes, the Director of the Institutional Development and Quality Assurance Office (IDQAO).
