i-MATH, MAPEH Depts Extend Disaster Management Education to Pawak Community

The Mathematics and MAPEH departments of the Junior High School extended their Disaster Risk Reduction Management Education to the community of Pawak, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, today, strengthening their commitment to good health and
well-being.
“…bigyan ng pangunahing kaalaman at kasanayan ang mga miyembero ng komunidad tungkol sa pagbibigay ng first aid sa oras ng emergency, at palakasin ang kumpiyansa at
kahandaan ang komunidad sa pagharap sa mga aksidente…” […to equip participants with basic knowledge and skills in emergency first aid response, and strengthen their confidence and readiness in handling accidents…] Miss Jane Angela Bicera, a teacher from the i-Math Department, said, stating the objectives of the event.
An alumnus of Saint Mary’s University, Kim Jerric Ogaya, RCrim, EMS, served as the resource speaker. With him were Fredy Avellano, a Nursing student and a member of the
Marian Emergency Response Team, and Sean Sincioco, the President of the Junior Marian Emergency Response Team.
The participants enjoyed a Filipino porridge brought by the organizers, which preceded the training.
Moreover, a eucharistic celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr. Nemecio F. Huesca, CICM, to kick off the program.
