ICLMS Department conducts Mac-Base Learning Workshop for faculty and staff

On April 15, 2026, IT, CpE faculty members and technical staff gathered for an engaging and insightful workshop titled “Learning with Mac.” The session aimed to deepen participants’ understanding of Mac devices and explore how these tools can enhance teaching efficiency and productivity in academic environments.
Ms. Abegale Palana-Isip, LPT the resource speaker from Power Mac, guided attendees through the essential features and functionalities of Mac. Participants were introduced to key tools and applications that support both instructional delivery and administrative tasks.
The session covered navigation techniques, system organization, multimedia integration, and productivity features to improve workflow efficiency. It highlighted Mac tools like window management, screen recording, and built-in apps such as Safari and Preview. The speaker emphasized how educators can use these features to create interactive lessons, manage content effectively, and enhance classroom engagement, while also utilizing creative tools for presentations, videos, data visualization, and digital storytelling.
These tools demonstrated how Mac can serve as a powerful platform for teaching. The session concluded on a high note as participants were awarded the Apple Teacher certificate, recognizing their commitment to integrating technology into education. This certification marks an important step toward becoming more proficient in using Apple tools to support innovative teaching practices.
Overall, the Learning with Mac workshop provided valuable insights and practical skills, reinforcing the role of technology in modern education.
