Dr. Concepcion Abasalon, IPEd Focal Person of DepEd Nueva Vizcaya, emphasized the importance of Indigenous Peoples Education as it is being integrated in the curriculum for learners as early as the elementary grade levels. In their separate messages, Villaverde Vice Mayor Kruwel Dacumos emphasized unity among the diverse cultures in Villaverde, while Board Member Chiqui-Valtoribio Algura stressed that there must be an ordinance that would institutionalize IP Day in the municipality of Villaverde.
