CVCITC Looks to SMU for Benchmarking Insights to Enhance Programs and Processes

In a strategic move to enhance its educational offerings and institutional processes, Cagayan Valley Computer and Information Technology College, Inc. (CVCITC), under the leadership of President Dr. Cristina Gallato, conducted a benchmarking activity with Saint Mary’s University (SMU). The activity, conducted on April 4, 2025, focused on key academic programs in Accountancy, Business, and Information Technology (IT), as well as various institutional processes.
The benchmarking process provided CVCITC with the opportunity to examine SMU’s best practices in critical areas such as instruction, student services, research, community engagement, quality assurance, and administrative efficiency. By leveraging SMU as a benchmark, CVCITC aims to refine its curriculum and enhance its institutional operations.
This collaborative effort highlights SMU’s ongoing commitment to assisting colleges and universities in the region. Through benchmarking activities like this, SMU plays a pivotal role in helping other institutions maintain the highest standards of education. By sharing its expertise, SMU fosters continuous improvement across local academic institutions.
