Junior Marians Participate in 3rd NSED '25

Saint Mary’s University Junior High School and Science High School (SMU JHS) participated in the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) for the third quarter of the year, demonstrating the  university’s efforts to prepare for natural disasters, on September 11.

Moreover, the Bureau of Fire Protection of Region II (BFP R2), Bayombong, attended the event and assessed the proper  execution of standard procedures, rating the drill with outstanding remarks based on the NDRRMC Earthquake Evaluation Tool.

The assessors of the drill are FO1 Rustom O. Asuncion, FO1 Mark Kelvin M. Parinas, FO1 Joshua Philip Telan, and FO1 Johnmari M. Quilang.

In the ceremonial pressing of the button held at Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City, on the same day, Director Caesar Agnir of the Office of Civil Defense stated that the event “is a comprehensive test of our collective readiness.”

Disaster Risk Reduction Management, Safety and Sanitation Coordinator and Pollution Control Officer Junior Van B. Paritang spearheaded the drill, in collaboration with the Science, Technology, and Research Department (STar) of SMU JHS
