Saint Mary’s University (SMU) students from the School of Teacher Education and Humanities (STEH) made a strong impression at the Philippine Association for Language Teaching (PALT) 2024 Junior Intensives, held virtually on September 28.
A team of Bachelor of Secondary Education, Major in English students presented their research project titled Princess Mononoke: A Movie Adaptation. The group, comprised of Charlene Lunag, Felizze Yanna Ubbanan, Jayne Mendoza, Kohlen Raye Talusig, Lester Martin, Mhea Lei Laza, Norlhyne Honnelore Hangdaan, Richelle Dyan Reginalde, Roanne Joy Serquiña, and Shirlene Buahon, showcased their academic prowess and critical thinking skills.
Meanwhile, a team of Bachelor of Arts in Communication students—Jefferson Sarandi, Don Sedric Tomas, and Jan Warry Corpuz—presented their study, The Role of Digital Media Ethics towards Issues and Values in Multimedia Platforms.
The participation of SMU in the PALT Junior Intensives demonstrates the university’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and providing students with opportunities to engage with the broader academic community.
