Project STEP Leads Campuswide Push for Active Transportation Awareness

Saint Mary’s University, through Project STEP: Shaping Tomorrow’s Environment through Pathways for Wellness, led by Dr. Mary Grace Bulatao, Ms. Jones Liwan, Mr. Jojie Mar Valdez, and Mr. Michael Gabriel, spearheaded a dynamic two-day information dissemination drive on December 4 and 5, 2025. The team visited Aldersgate College Inc., PLT College, Saint Mary’s University, King’s College of the Philippines–Bambang, and Nueva Vizcaya State University to distribute brochures and flyers promoting active and sustainable modes of transportation.

Throughout the activity, students received clear and engaging materials that highlighted walking and cycling as practical, health-boosting, and eco-friendly mobility options. The distribution ensured that learners across the five campuses had easy access to essential information encouraging safer, greener, and more sustainable commuting habits.

By reaching a diverse student audience, the December information drive significantly boosted awareness on active mobility and further propelled Project STEP’s mission of building healthier, more resilient, and environmentally conscious campus communities
