SHANS Holds Pamaskong Handog 2025 in Nagbitin, Villaverde

The School of Health and Natural Sciences (SHANS) through the Community Engagement and Indigenous Peoples Studies Center (CEIPSC) conducted its annual outreach activity, Pamaskong Handog 2025, on December 13 in Barangay Nagbitin, Villaverde, Nueva Vizcaya.

Carrying the theme “SHANS: Share, Help, Appreciate, Nurture, and Spread Joy this Christmas Season,” the program aimed to bring assistance and holiday cheer to the local community. Faculty members, staff, and students of SHANS actively participated in the activity, which focused on community engagement and service.

As part of the outreach, SHANS distributed Noche Buena packages, five kilograms of rice per beneficiary, and snacks to 80 beneficiaries. The activity also featured games for children and adults, with various prizes given to participants, further adding to the festive atmosphere.

Pamaskong Handog 2025 is part of SHANS’ continuing commitment to social responsibility and community development, particularly during the Christmas season. The initiative highlighted the school’s advocacy for compassion, generosity, and solidarity through direct interaction and support for partner communities.

The initiative supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), and SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), by addressing basic needs and promoting community well-being.
