Commitment to Quality: SMU Achieves TESDA Compliance for Events Management NC III and Housekeeping NC II
Saint Maryโs University (SMU), through its Equivalency and Technical-Vocational Assessment Office (ETVAO), successfully passed the Assessment and Certification Compliance Audit conducted by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) on March 19, 2026, in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.
The audit, conducted via Zoom and followed by an onsite inspection, covered two key qualifications: Events Management Services NC III and Housekeeping NC II. Both programs were rated COMPLIANT, affirming that the University meets all prescribed TESDA standards for accredited assessment centers.
The comprehensive evaluation examined administrative systems, physical facilities, assessment methodologies, and documentation and reporting processes. All areas were found compliant, with no nonconformities recorded, reflecting the Universityโs strong adherence to national quality standards.
The University extends its sincere appreciation to Ms. Merly Malana-Viernes, TESDA Specialist II from TESDA Region II and Virtual Auditor, and Mrs. Eva T. Doniego, Supervising TESDA Specialist from the TESDA Provincial Office, for their diligent conduct of the audit and onsite validation.
Notably, the audit team commended the completeness, organization, and proper labeling of tools, equipment, and materials for both qualificationsโfurther highlighting SMUโs dedication to maintaining high standards in training and assessment delivery.
This achievement underscores SMUโs continuing commitment to delivering quality, industry-aligned technical education and reinforces its role in producing competent, globally competitive graduates.
