A Step Forward: Saint Mary's University and Providence University sign partnership agreement
PROVIDENCE UNIVERSITY, TAICHUNG, TAIWAN – The second day of the 31st Association of Southeast and East Asian Catholic Colleges and Universities (ASEACCU) Conference marked a significant milestone with the signing of a partnership agreement between Saint Mary’s University (SMU) and Providence University (PU), the conference’s host institution, on August 20, 2025. SMU President Dr. John Octavious S. Palina and PU President Dr. Lucia Shih-Ling Lin formalized the partnership, which was followed by a special meeting with key administrators from both universities. This collaboration will facilitate joint initiatives in academics, research, and community development, guided by their shared mission to serve and inspire. Both universities are committed to strengthening their partnership and fostering mutually beneficial collaborations, particularly in supporting the spiritual development and action of Gen Z, the theme of this year’s conference.
