Saint Mary’s University Recognizes Academic Scholars, Entrance Scholars and Service Grantees

Saint Mary’s University honored a total of 1,539 students for their academic excellence and dedicated service during the Recognition Ceremony for the Second Semester A.Y. 2025-2026 held at the Fr. Cornelius Tonus Gymnasium on March 18, 2026. The awardees included Academic Scholars with a 27 Gold Merit Awardee, 167 Silver Merit Awardee, 427 Bronze Merit Awardee, 35 Entrance Scholars, 535 Deans Listers, and 348 Service Grantees from the different schools of the University.
The Event featured an inspiring message from Mr. John Lester V. Martin, LPT Top 10 in Licensure Examination for Teachers. In his message Mr. Martin said that “Manifestation plus hard work equals success, and seeing you all here today is a living proof of that. This moment is the result of countless coffee-filled nights- nights when you stayed awake, finishing reports, polishing performance tasks, and trying to understand every reading assigned to you. Nights when you probably whispered a small prayer and said ‘Lord, tulungan mo po akong makaraos sa araw na ito’.
He concluded his message with the words “our parents were already walking ahead of us-clearing the path, carrying the weight, and lighting the way. So let us succeed not only for ourselves, but also for the people who sacrificed everything just to see us rise.”
The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt message form Miss Charlene D. Andres, BSA 4 Gold Merit Awardee. The event reaffirmed Saint Mary’s University’s unwavering commitment to fostering academic excellence, leadership, and holistic student development anchored in the CICM and SMU Mission Statement
