Empowering the Next Generation: BOAE Hosts "Kits for Kids" Outreach at Bintawan NHS

BINTAWAN, NUEVA VIZCAYA — To ease the transition back to the classroom and ignite a passion for learning, the  Business, Office Administration, Entrepreneurship Department of School of Accountancy and Business (SAB) successfully conducted the Kits for Kids: Back-to-School Outreach Program” on May 16, 2026, at Bintawan National High School.

The half-day event, which ran from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, combined the distribution of essential school supplies with character-building activities, ensuring that students are equipped both materially and mentally for the upcoming academic year.

The program kicked off with a spiritual opening, followed by a deeply impactful learning session titled “Magandang Asal at Paggalang.” This session focused on the fundamentals of good manners, discipline, and the importance of respect within the school community and beyond.

To reinforce these values, the Business, Office Administration, and Entrepreneurship (BOAE) Officers transformed the venue into a hub of energy and teamwork. Students participated in a variety of interactive challenges designed to build cooperation, including:

  • Follow Jesus’ Command & The Boat is Sinking (Leadership and Listening)
  • Color Match & Number Jump (Agility and Focus)
  • Puzzle Challenge & Alphabet Relay (Problem Solving and Collaboration)

The highlight of the morning was the distribution of the “Kits for Kids.” Learners received various school supplies intended to alleviate the financial burden on families and motivate students to excel in their studies.

“Overall, the event reflected the department’s commitment to community service, youth involvement, and meaningful engagement with partner schools,” noted the organizing team.

The outreach was a collaborative effort organized by the Business, Office Administration, and Entrepreneurship Department. The initiative was spearheaded by Ms. Sheryl A. Adducul-Baria, Ms.  Nisha Joy W. Carrillo, Ms. Khatarina Jane R. Castillo and the BOAE Student Officers.

This initiative directly supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 4: Quality Education, by providing learners with the essential tools and values-based instruction needed for an equitable and inclusive learning experience. By organizing this program, the School of Accountancy and Business reaffirms its dedication to social responsibility, effectively bridging the gap between academic excellence and meaningful community development.
