Excitement was in the air as the Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) students of Saint Mary’s University boarded the MV 2GO MASAGANA Ship for an unforgettable hands-on experience. Because these future hospitality professionals will be getting their feet wet in the industry, quite literally!

Students were deployed in various hotel departments on the ship. They were exposed to the ins and outs of housekeeping, ensuring that every cabin is spotless clean, and guests feel right at home. Over at the Horizon Café and Island Fiesta, they serve delicious food and beverages, honing their customer service skills and learning what it takes to keep a busy dining area running smoothly.

But the adventure doesn’t stop there. At the front office, students welcome guests, managed check-ins and check-outs, and handled inquiries with a smile, gaining invaluable experience in the front lines of customer service.

This immersive experience on the MV 2GO MASAGANA Ship offers our HTM students a unique opportunity to apply their classroom knowledge in a real-world setting, preparing them for successful careers in the hospitality industry. With the sea breeze in their hair and a passion for service in their hearts, they’re ready to make waves!
