PNP, SMU Launch Campaign Against Bullying and Sexual Violence

Students and teachers at Saint Mary’s University Junior High School (SMU JHS) gathered for an awareness campaign about anti-bullying and anti-rape laws at the Fr. Cornelius
Tonus Gymnasium on September 16.
According to Mr. Jimmy Valdez, SMU Junior High School’s Prefect of Discipline for Boys,
the event was organized after receiving a communication from the Philippine National Police-Bayombong, inviting the school to this program.
PSSg Jennifer P. Dulnuan, the resource speaker, lectured on anti-bullying and anti-rape legislation in relation to the students’ experiences in school and in the community.
“Mahalaga para sa ating mga mag-aaral na maunawaan ang kanilang mga karapatan at ang mga legal na proteksyon na magagamit sa kanila.” Dulnuan said, explaining that the event is a proactive step towards fostering a safer and more supportive environment in the community.
The awareness campaign included a series of engaging and informative discussions and presentations about bullying and rape cases. These were specifically designed to give
students a detailed understanding of these issues.
