In celebration of World Pharmacists Day 2025 with the theme “Think Health, Think Pharmacist,” the Philippine Pharmacists Association (PPHA)–Nueva Vizcaya Chapter, headed by Mrs. Melchora M. Bautista, Pharmacy Department Head of Saint Mary’s University (SMU) and President of PPHA–Nueva Vizcaya, led a unified healthcare mission for elderly widows of Solano on October 20, 2025, at the Tomas Dacayo Community Center.

Faculty and students from the School of Health and Natural Sciences (SHANS) of SMU and the PLT College of Pharmacy worked together with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver medical and dental consultations, eye check-ups with free eyeglasses, health education sessions, and free medicines with medication counseling. The outreach benefited 167 elderly widows, reflecting the shared commitment of the participating institutions to advancing community health and compassionate service.
