Saint Mary’s University (SMU), through its Equivalency and Technical-Vocational Assessment Office (ETVAO) received recently from the TESDA Regional Office the certifications of accreditation for Cookery NC II and Bartending NC II. The accreditation visits were conducted on June 8, 2026 for Cookery NC II and June 17, 2026 for Bartending NC II.

The successful accreditation reaffirms SMU’s commitment to delivering quality technical-vocational education and assessment services that meet national competency standards. As a TESDA-accredited Assessment Center, the University continues to provide accessible and credible competency assessments for individuals seeking national certification in their respective qualifications.

The biennial accreditation of the Assessment Center ensures that its assessment systems, facilities and equipment, personnel, procedures, and quality assurance mechanisms continuously comply with TESDA standards, upholding the integrity, fairness, and reliability of competency assessments.
