SHaNS and STEH Celebrate Parents and Guardians Through Tribute to Parents 2026

The School of Health and Natural Sciences (SHaNS) and the School of Teacher Education and Humanities (STEH) honored the parents and guardians of their graduating students through the Tribute to Parents 2026, a celebration recognizing their unwavering love, sacrifices, and support throughout the students’ academic journey.

The SHaNS Tribute to Parents was held on June 27, 2026, at the Rev. Fr. Cornelius Tonus Gymnasium, while the STEH celebration took place on June 13, 2026, at the same venue. Both events highlighted the significant role of families as the foundation and inspiration behind the success of the graduating students.

The programs featured meaningful activities including the entrance of parents and graduating students, welcome remarks, and inspirational messages from University President Dr. John Octavious S. Palina. Department representatives also introduced the parents and guardians of the graduates, recognizing their important presence in this milestone celebration.

As a gesture of gratitude, graduating students delivered heartfelt tribute messages and serenaded their parents and guardians, expressing their appreciation for the guidance, encouragement, and sacrifices that helped them reach this achievement. Faculty members also shared their talents through special performances, adding a memorable touch to the celebration.

Parents and guardians were recognized through the presentation of certificates and tokens of appreciation in honor of their continuous support. Outstanding graduating students were also acknowledged for their achievements in academics, leadership, and other fields.

One of the highlights of the STEH celebration was the inspiring testimony of Ms. Anita Guzman, sister of graduating BS Criminology student Dizon Guzman. She shared her heartfelt gratitude to the faculty members who extended support in helping her brother continue his education, reflecting the compassion and community spirit within the institution.

Meanwhile, the SHaNS program also marked the continuity of student leadership through the formal turnover of the Key of Responsibility from the outgoing HNSCC governor to the incoming governor, symbolizing commitment and service among student leaders.

The celebrations concluded with moments of fellowship and gratitude, bringing together students, parents, guardians, and faculty members in recognition of the shared journey that led to the graduates’ success. Through the Tribute to Parents 2026, SHaNS and STEH reaffirmed their appreciation for the families who continue to inspire and empower Marian students toward excellence.
