Two new members of The Order of the Golden Rose were conferred with the said award held during the Grand Alumni Homecoming of the Saint Mary’s University (SMU) Grade School and High School on January 14, 2023 at the Tonus Gymnasium , SMU Main Campus.

Mr. Sherween Jerry Paul V, Saquing, Head of the SMU Alumni Affairs, nominated The Family of Atty. Primo Percival J. Marcos, Prescilla Ong-Marcos, and Children; and SMU Grade School Alumni Batch 1968 / High School 1972.

The Order of the Golden Rose is a community of alumni and friends of SMU who are witnesses to Christian Charity symbolized by the Golden Rose and exemplified by the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of Jesus and the University’s Patroness.

The conferral was graced by the SMU Administrators led by Dr. John Octavious S. Palina, SMU President, Dr. John G. Tayaban, VP for Administration; and Mr. Samuel B. Damayon, Officer-In-Charge of the Alumni Affairs and Dean of the Student Affairs and Services.

As of this writing, there are 23 members of The Order of the Golden Rose. #
