SMU High School celebrated the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary today by reminiscing about the kind of love that Christians are called to have as reflected in Mary’s life.

In his homily, Rev. Fr. Nemecio F. Huesca, CICM, said that the best gift that we can give to Mother Mary is “to pray, to be kind, and to obey.”

Fr. Huesca explained that students are supposed to demonstrate their purity of heart, their dedication to their studies, and obedience to their parents and teachers to align their morals according to the values of the Blessed Mary.

A short liturgy of the nativity and a salu-salo [feast] preceded the Holy Mass.
