Pharmacy Pioneer Batch 2016 marks 10th anniversary with outreach and celebration

The Pharmacy Pioneer Batch 2016 of Saint Mary’s University commemorated its 10th year anniversary on April 11, 2026, with a day-long celebration that combined community outreach at Barangay San Nicolas, Bayombong, and a formal anniversary program at the Sacred Heart Center.

Carrying the theme “Decade of Growth, Lifetime of Impact,” the batch began the celebration with a community outreach initiative, St. Damien’s Project, in partnership with the Tiam-Tumaliuan Foundation. The activity focused on serving the elderly, reflecting the group’s enduring commitment to compassion and social responsibility beyond the field ofS pharmacy. Prayers for the occasion were offered before the opening remarks delivered by Mr. Humprey Ian O. Sagabaen, Officer-in-Charge of the Alumni Affairs Office.

The anniversary gathering also served as a platform to celebrate the achievements of the alumni over the past decade. Inspirational testimonies from selected alumni underscored personal and professional milestones, as well as shared experiences in the field of pharmacy. Speakers included Mr. Nicole Paulus Santiago Liban, RPh, CPh; Ms. Queen Trexyl Peralta, RPh; Mr. Gabrielle Christoph E. Eraña, RPh; Atty. Robert Espiritu, RPh; and Mr. Brent Jericko P. Narciso, RPh.

A highlight of the event was the recognition of the batch’s journey and contributions, led by the Department of Pharmacy, reinforcing the strong connection between the alumni and the university. The occasion also fostered renewed ties among members, as they reunited to celebrate milestones and reflect on their collective impact since graduating.

As the Pharmacy Pioneer Batch 2016 looks ahead, the celebration reaffirmed their commitment to uphold the values of their profession while continuing to make a difference in their respective communities.
